FaceKey can assure you that the personal biometric data our access control products collect is well protected. During enrollment, each fingerprint or face template collected is converted into an encrypted numerical code. This encrypted numerical code cannot be converted back into a fingerprint or face template. The numerical code is just 1s and 0s.
In addition, during transmission of data between the devices and the database, all personal data will be encrypted by using 128 bit encryption protocols.
A recent breach from a well-known manufacture of the fingerprint data of more than one million people was particularly alarming because it is such a large well-known organization. FaceKey understands that this breach will lead to questions about our security protocols and how we protect personal data.
